9:00 a.m. Andy, Andy Jr., Nanny and Donna met at Kindred Hospital at Heritage Valley in Beaver, PA for a tour of the facility. Andy and Donna had met with Grace Hospital in Cleveland on Monday. Andy wanted to compare what the two LTACs

mom had a lovely update for you all tonight… but it got lost in cyber space when she hit publish…

Andy did not go up to Cleveland this weekend.

This morning Virginia and her daughter Lynn gave Andy and Nanny a driving tour of the City of Cleveland:

It was July 6 that Eileen had the three seizures that placed her in ICU at Passavant. She has come a long way on the road to improvement.

2 pm Today’s visitors to Cleveland Clinic to visit Eileen were Maggie and Jim Ginter and Kathy Fritz and Virginia and Mary Lou. Andy was staying home to clean! Eileen continues to recuperate. Her No. 1 GOAL! The respirator tube was being removed today and she is breathing on her own.

10 pm

12:00 noon: Andy was very happy.
She was alert and smiling when Andy walked into her room. They are cutting back on antibiotics. She is getting a blood thinner. She will move to respiratory recovery as soon as a bed becomes available and then to a regular room as soon as she is able. Andy is pleased with the care she is receiving at Cleveland Clinic and very impressed by the number of doctors that are coordinating her case.

1:30 p.m. Andy and Nanny have been in Cleveland since last night. They are now on the road back

11 am: Andy Jr. was at the hospital this morning and saw Dr. Guzman, the lead doctor on Eileen’s case.
